Salood is proud to officially launch the Miles to Miracles campaign, a movement powered by ten friends united by one purpose: to fight pediatric cancer through action, endurance, and impact. The Miles to Miracles team has partnered with two brave cancer warriors, Annabelle Grace (AG) and Jake, to design and kick off this inspiring campaign.
Salood, a Dallas-based nonprofit, has teamed up with a driven group of friends known as Miles to Miracles to raise $50,000 over the next five months, providing critical financial relief to families impacted by pediatric cancer. With nearly 16,000 children diagnosed with cancer each year in the U.S., the need for assistance continues to grow. Salood exists to ease this burden—so families can focus on what matters most: their child’s health.
About the Events
To help reach their $50,000 fundraising goal in support of families impacted by pediatric cancer, the Miles to Miracles team are taking on two extraordinary physical challenges—each designed to push their limits and inspire others to join their mission. These events are more than athletic milestones; they are powerful symbols of resilience, unity, and hope for families facing the unimaginable.
First up is 3 members of the Miles to Miracles team will take on the Hawai’i Ironman 70.3 which will take place on May 31st on the Kona side of the Big Island. The race starts with a 1.2-mile swim through Pauoa Bay, a 56-mile bike ride along the coast and alongside lava fields, and a 13.1-mile run next to the beautiful Pacific Ocean.
In late August, the entire Miles to Miracles team will embark on a unique journey across the globe: climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro, the tallest mountain in Africa and the tallest free-standing mountain in the world.
The team of 10 will be going on an 8-day guided hike up to the summit via the Lemosho route. Each day will bring new physical and mental challenges, along with 7 distinct climates to hike through while reaching the top.
